Simplifying Execution leads to Excellence.
Execution has a tendency to get complex even when strategy is simplified. The key is to know where the complexity is, so that it’s possible to unpack the complexity, and simplify. Leaders could find that by asking questions such as ‘what would make it easier for you to execute your role?’, ‘What’s getting in your way while executing your role?’.
Another area to simplify is to consciously look at how the interactions / interdependencies between different functions are.
