Leaders speaking last allows, encourages Team members to express their views, opinions and insights, uninfluenced by what the Leader thinks or what his / her opinion is. This facilitates generation of more ideas and thoughts. Leads more options to emerge.
The key is holding one’s view or opinion to oneself until everyone expresses theirs. Also, it’s being open to the ideas, views and opinions that emerge, and making appropriate amends to one’s own opinion as needed.
